Enhancement & Maintenance
Once a system has been delivered, Parity is often retained to guide it to its next natural version, either because business requirements have evolved or because natural technological evolution exposes new development opportunities.
Apart from issues of maintenance (such as new operating systems opportunities, platform patches and software service packs), there are a number of arbitrary levels that Parity will find itself re-engaged at, and these include issues of:
• enhancement (making essential changes to improve performance)
• software adjustment (making changes improve functional effectiveness)
• Managed Services (keeping system performance to improved/agreed levels)
• database administration (collation and performance tuning)
• impact analysis (proactive investigations seeking system improvements)
