We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships and to implement and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure, as far as possible, that modern slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our own business or our supply chain.
PARITY GROUP’S STRUCTURE, BUSINESS AND SUPPLY CHAINS
Parity provides professional recruitment services and leading edge IT solutions from offices in London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Belfast through its two subsidiary companies, Parity Professionals Ltd and Parity Consultancy Services Ltd. Due to the nature of our business, our supply chain is predominantly made up of UK based suppliers of professional services.
OUR POLICIES ON SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING
Our Modern Slavery Policy statement is available on the Company websites for the Group and each subsidiary company and also on our internal intranet for employees. Our Whistleblowing Policy also provides a process for employees to report of any incidences and/or suspicions relating to modern slavery and human trafficking.
DUE DILIGENCE PROCESSES FOR SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING
We continue to take positive steps to improve supply chain transparency. As our supply chain is mainly made up of UK based suppliers of professional services, computer software and equipment, office supplies and our contractor and associate workers, we believe that we operate a supply chain with a very low inherent risk of slavery and human trafficking potential. Nevertheless, we have amended our contractual clauses with suppliers to ensure their suitability and ongoing compliance to the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We will continue to assess and manage the risk in our supply chain as part of an annual review of our policy. Our next step is to introduce more detailed annual reviews of our largest suppliers.
During 2017 we have provided training to all our employees on the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and our Modern Slavery Policy in order to provide general awareness across the company and ensure all employees are aware of their responsibilities. This training has now been built into our staff induction and training processes to ensure it is provided to all new recruits coming on board and that staff are kept up to date as the policy develops.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes Parity Group’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the 2017 financial year which ended on 31 December 2017.
