Spotlight on… The Technology Team

Kieran joined Parity as an Operations Consultant in May 2021.

Working as part of the technology team, he matches talented candidates to the needs of several high-profile public and private sector organisations.

Kieran is often tasked with filling more niche IT and systems architecture positions, so his work requires plenty of industry knowledge, patience and attention to detail. And while his skills suggest an established background in tech recruitment, Kieran’s journey to this point has had a much stronger focus on customer experience.

Over ten years, Kieran represented some of the UK’s most recognisable hospitality brands, working at various levels.

Fortunately for Parity and its clients, that passion for hospitality would eventually lead Kieran to recruitment, and in 2019 he took his first role in the industry as a hospitality recruiter.

Since then, he’s demonstrated his adaptability and penchant for working hard by taking supervisory and management roles at two COVID-19 test centres in Edinburgh, before getting back into recruitment with us.

It didn’t take long to see that we were a great pairing, as Kieran started matching candidates with their perfect positions in no time.

He’s also demonstrated the value of solid relationships in recruitment. In one case, one of his candidates turned down an offer at the last minute to take a position elsewhere. Kieran stayed in touch regardless and on finding out the candidate had been missold their new job, he reconnected them with his client, who offered the role again. The candidate happily accepted and is now happy in his new role.

Looking ahead, Kieran’s keen to work towards becoming a senior member of the team while also playing a pivotal role in our corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.
